Sierra Road

East of San Jose, there is a road with two beautiful viewpoints overlooking Silicon Valley called Sierra Road. It is narrow, steep, and windy, but it is definitely worth the trip. After around a ten-minute drive up a, there's a parking lot at the top of a hill. This is a popular location for car meets. If you walk to the edge, you can see a beautiful view of the entire Bay Area. There are also a few trails which you can go down for a nice picnic.

After the first viewpoint, you can drive a bit further to reach a second viewpoint. It goes downhill a little bit, but you have an even more expansive view of the city below, without other hills in the way. The second viewpoint is my favorite place to watch the sunset, where the sky turns from a blue to a deep red and the city lights start to turn on.
