Day 9

The first day we went spent in Madrid, we visited the Royal Palace of Madrid, where we took a full tour of the interior. Then, we went to the Plaza Mayor, where we went to the Main Square where there were many street performers. There was also a Christmas Fair, which had lines of booths selling different seasonal gifts and food. We topped the day off with Chocolateria San Gines, which is hot chocolate with churros.

Day 10

The next day, we took the audio tour at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. Then we went to the Museo Nacional del Prado, where we looked at the Goya collection. Our last stop of our easy-going day was to row boats on the lake at Retiro Park.

Day 11

For our last day in Spain, we went on the Sandeman Free Walking tour for Madrid, which was fantastic. The last thing we saw was the Sorolla Museum, which is a small house museum where an artist once lived.
